But for his ignorance about the unimpeachable moral credentials of the Mancheriates, as manifested itself in the Natttukoottam like trial he had undergone as good as a couple of hours before succour reached him in the form of Khaki, he would have left her away in some junction with a talisman tied on her with the sole motive of saving her from the incubuses on prowl( assuredly the moralists wouldnt even frown upon a lady walking the roads at an odd hour there in Mancheri ) and have saved himself from the disgrace that threatens him to cost his political career.
